My family has been using Tiger rice cookers since way before I was born. I have tried other rice cookers before and they never live up to my Tiger. This brand just makes the rice taste better.

It is very easy to use. Just wash the rice 3 times, use the index finger method for measuring, pop it in and it is done within 15 min! (depending on how much you cook of course) I have put my friends on this brand and they swear it is the best! You can't go wrong with this brand. I love all Tiger products and it goes for this rice cooker as well.

Best value for the price you pay. I been using this for a month now no problem. Very smooth and easy user interface. You don't have to cook rice on the stove top. I like the rice cooker very much and have used it for cooking rice. I will only use Tiger. I have it in 10 cup and 5 cup. Its a good rice cooker. You just know what kind of rice are your using. Mostly rice and water are equal 1/1 but you must adjust it according the type of rice if its a little saggy less water if it hard then more water. So far use it for a month now no issue at all. First lasted 25 years with proper care. I rated four star because it works great. Only reason I didn't rate as a 5 star is because durability will be a deciding factor. This is the second Tiger I've had and the last one I had still works after 20 years. My daughter is currently using it still. If you want an easy to use rice cooker that works perfectly each time, this is the one to get. This is the third Tiger product we are purchasing and have always been extremely pleased. It cooks the rice well.

The first one also holds the same amount of rice. This one is wider, but shorter. The rice cooker is made of a thinner material. It may be scratch resistant, because the first one has a gray coating. This one is just one layer of metal.

It's lighter and the functions are the same. One button to depress and two lights: cooking and warming. I love easy-to-use electronic devices. The rice comes out well cooked. It also comes with a rice spatula, a hook for the spatula with a special spot to hang from rice cooker, a clear drainage that can easily slide out like a mini drawer for rinsing, and a plastic steamer tray that rests on top of rice cooker under the lid.

I love, love, love this brand. One thing about the mini drip drawer is that, my mom broke it because she may have pressed too hard to fit it back in the wrong way.

This one said 12 hours so I was a little apprehensive about it. But it was cute and a great price so we tried it anyways. It lasts about 3 days. It stays fresh until that third day... Keep rice warm 24 hrs without getting the top part birnt.
