Zojirushi NP-HBC18 Rice Cooker Warmer Induction Heat System. Please not that there is some fine debris located underneath the viewable control panel display cover. The debris does not affect the function of the unit or the viewing of the display and is very small.

There is a faint surface scratch on the display cover as well (see photos and video). This does not affect the use of the unit. The unit is used so the surfaces may have minor imperfections/scratches from use. Item was tested and works.

The unit has been thoroughly washed and is very clean. Steam vent assembly is in very good condition. Please see photos and video for additional details. Includes two 6.1 oz measuring cups and one spatula holder (spatula is not included).

Zojirushi's Induction Heating System rice cooker and warmer incorporates induction heating and micro computer technology. This electric rice cooker uses an induction heating system which allows more evenly distributed heat for perfectly cooked delicious rice every time.

The removable spherical non-stick inner cooking pan and heating system provide even heating. Menus include white rice (regular, softer, or harder), mixed rice, sushi rice, porridge, sweet rice, brown, GABA brown, and quick cooking rice. Other features include automatic keep warm and extended keep warm functions, an extra large LCD display, and clock and timer functions, as well as a delay timer (2 settings) and interchangeable melody and beep signal. The inner lid detaches for easy cleaning.

Superior induction heating (IH) technology. This heating method occurs when a magnetic material is placed in a magnetic field. In a rice cooker, a system of coils in the base of the cooker creates the magnetic field. When the inner pan is placed in this field and the cooking cycle begins, the magnetic field instantly generates heat within the inner cooking pan to cook the rice. Because the heat is instant, Induction Heating also allows for fine-tuning and precise management of the cooking process. Micom provides even cooking by automatically judging the amount of rice being cooked, allowing it to select the ideal heat level to cook rice. The inner pan has a nonstick interior. The Automatic Keep Warm keeps cooked rice at the optimal serving temperature for up to 12 hours. The easy-to-read orange colored LCD control panel with clock has a delay timer with 2 memory settings. The stainless steel inner lid is detachable and washable. A melody sounds to alert when cooking begins, timer is set, or cooking as completed. It may be changed to beeps or silent mode.
